Call For Papers

Researchers and students of the Euro-FGI partners are invited to submit original papers to be presented during the workshop. The papers should be related to the issues considered in the JRA.2 work packages on congestion control, traffic management and traffic engineering for fixed, wireless and spontaneous (ad hoc and sensor) networks. They can be research papers or of a more tutorial nature. A non-exhaustive list of topics is given below:

• congestion control protocols

• active queue management

• protocol performance modelling

• bandwidth sharing and fairness

• pricing and QoS

• QoS requirements

• service differentiation

• scheduling mechanisms

• admission control

• flow-aware networking

• SLA management

• traffic matrix inference

• TE using link state protocols

• TE based on MPLS and GMPLS

• inter-domain TE

• constraint-based routing

• adaptive load-sensitive routing

• congestion control over wireless

• QoS in WiFi, WiMax

• engineering cellular networks

• resource sharing

• ad hoc and sensor networks

• cross-layer issues

The papers will be reviewed by the programme committee. Authors of accepted papers will be required to supply a camera ready version of the paper to be included in a book with the workshop proceedings. Authors of accepted papers will be asked to sign a publication authorization form for the paper to be included in the book. Accepted papers will also be included in a Euro-FGI deliverable and made available in the Internet. Authors of accepted papers will be required to present the paper during the workshop.

This call is directed to Euro-FGI partners only. However, it is intended to include invited speakers in the programme. Suggestions to the programme committee of possible invitees, not necessarily from Euro-FGI partners, are most welcome. Attendance will be open to outside participants.

Submission:

Papers should not exceed 8 pages. It is suggested that authors use the format specified in the following template, since it will ease book publication if the paper is accepted. As an alternative, the LaTeX template can also be used.

Papers should be submitted in PDF format at http://eurongi.enst.fr/conferences/QoS2007/ConfMan/

Accepted papers have to be submitted in both PDF and MS-Word (.doc) formats (or LaTeX source as an alternative).

The publication authorization declaration is available here in several alternative formats: English PDF, English RTF, Portuguese PDF, Portuguese RTF.

Call For Presentations

Researchers and students of the Euro-FGI partners are invited to submit extended abstracts of 1 to 2 pages describing the substance of the presentation they wish to make at the workshop. The presentations should be related to the issues considered in the JRA.2 work packages on congestion control, traffic management and traffic engineering for fixed, wireless and spontaneous (ad hoc and sensor) networks, as for the full papers above.

The submission should be in PDF format by email to the Programme Committee chairman at <prbp(at)inesc.pt>. Reception will be acknowledged.

There will be no publication of the extended abstracts of presentations other than the PDF on the web site. Authors can submit work in progress as well as presentations of recent work that is already submitted elsewhere. Presentations will have a 15 minutes slot.
